On my flight to Vegas the Wednesday before Memorial Day Weekend I sat next to one guy who had a very interesting story. A single father raising two children one of which who has autism. My new seatmate friend I will call him a no barrier dad. He shared through his journey of raising his children it seems as though has a leaped over multiple barriers, hurdles and life challenges with a smile as he talked about his children. He was so elated to share how he cooks, and invest his time in constructing home improvements projects with is children and just because one of children has autism he as a dad provides the best opportunities he can despite any barriers.
In my heart, our conversation was very heartwarming and made me think about how we all have barriers and hurdles to overcome. While crossing those barriers adding a smile along the way will make those hurdles seem less like hurdles and more like smiles.
